We hosted our first-ever student-led peace dialogue on nuclear abolition — called "Claiming Your Right To Live" — on Saturday, April 21, 2018. In preparation for the event, the students were encouraged by peace educators Betty Reardon and Zeena Zakharia to ask questions and to use those questions to deepen their thinking. "No one is an expert," said Dr. Reardon. "We are here to learn together." The students shared their views and thoughts on nuclear disarmament and led small group discussions on the issue. They also created a video to raise awareness around the issue and invited participants to share their ideas on how to engage civil society. Read an article on the event here.
