Join us for our first ever in-person Indigo Talk featuring a lecture by renowned scholar and award-winning author Dr. Cynthia B. Dillard (Nana Mansa II of Mpeasem, Ghana, W. Africa). Dr. Dillard is the William Allen Endowed Chair and Dean of the College of Education at Seattle University. Her talk titled, “Towards Hope and Joy in Life and Death: New Visions,” engages Daisaku Ikeda’s 1993 Harvard lecture, “Mahayana Buddhism and Twenty-first Century Civilization,” and explores what is possible when hope and joy are at the center of both life and death.
