Sathaporn Neeranadthara

Sathaporn Neeranadthara, known as Apple, is the Senior Staff Accountant at the Ikeda Center. She is responsible for daily accounting and financial activities and supports all aspects of accounting, financial, and regulatory reporting. Prior to joining the Ikeda Center, Apple served as Accounting Manager at the Community Training and Assistance Center, and before that, as Director of Finance and Administration at Step-by-Step Supportive Services. Apple is originally from Thailand and enjoys meeting new people, learning new things (cultures, languages, and foods), exercising, and listening to music.

Apple finds particular meaning in this passage from Daisaku Ikeda’s essay, “The Challenge of Building Peace,” published in Embracing the Future:

Peace is an ongoing endeavor influenced by the decisions and acts that individuals make on a daily basis… .  Everyone can be engaged in education for peace. It can be as simple as taking the time to talk with the children and young people in our lives―in our homes and communities―about the dignity of life and the equality of people. We must never underestimate the impact of such seemingly small efforts.
